Recommended Flooring Options:

• Tiles: Durable, heat-resistant, and easy to clean. Ensure they are non-slip for safety.
• Wooden Floors: Provide traditional aesthetics and are suitable if treated for moisture resistance.
• Carpet or Laminate: Offer better insulation, retaining heat within the sauna and reducing energy consumption.

 

Less Ideal Flooring:

Level and Sturdy Foundation:

• A level base is essential for proper assembly and long-term stability.
• Acceptable bases include wooden floors, tiled floors, carpet, laminate, sealed concrete, and tarmac.

Avoid Uneven Surfaces:

• Depressions or gullies exceeding 20mm (3/4 inch) can cause the floor to bow, affecting the sauna’s performance.
• Uneven surfaces may result in installation delays, as our fitters cannot assemble saunas on unstable bases for safety reasons.

 

Moisture and Drainage Considerations

For saunas, especially those that may produce water runoff:

Use a Moisture-Resistant Base:

• Tiles: Ideal for managing moisture due to their impermeable surface.
• Sealed Concrete: Suitable if properly treated to prevent water absorption.
• Wood: Treated wooden bases can handle minor water exposure but require maintenance.

Avoid:

• Avoid Standing Water: Incorporate proper drainage where possible, especially in steam saunas or saunas with frequent cleaning needs.
• Avoid Vinyl: While it provides some water resistance, vinyl may degrade over time in high-temperature environments.
  

   

How to Verify Your Sauna Base

To confirm the suitability of your sauna base, follow these steps:

• Check for Levelness: Place a straight piece of material, such as a wooden or metal pole, across the base. Use a spirit level on top to ensure the surface is even.
• Identify Depressions: Move the material around and look for any rocking or gaps underneath. If you notice any depressions exceeding 20mm (3/4 inch), the base may require adjustment.

Assembly

Assembly Instructions

Our indoor saunas are delivered in modular components, typically with the walls, flooring, and roof pre-assembled. During assembly, you will need to join these components at the corners and intersections to create the complete sauna structure. The assembly process is designed to be straightforward, and the following steps will guide you through the process.

On average, for those without prior experience, assembly can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. We recommend that two individuals work together to construct the sauna.

   

Clearance and Positioning

When installing this sauna in an enclosed space, it is important to leave at least 2 inches of clearance around the unit. This gap allows for proper air circulation and ventilation, which helps prevent overheating and ensures the sauna operates efficiently.

If you’re positioning the sauna in a corner, consider assembling it slightly out from the corner first and then carefully moving it into place once constructed. This method provides easier access during assembly.

Installation is automatically included in the price of this sauna model due to its slightly more complex assembly process, which requires professional expertise to ensure proper setup and optimal performance.

That’s why professional installation, (typically valued at £500), is included at no extra cost with this sauna model. By including professional installation, we guarantee that your sauna is assembled and connected correctly, providing you with a safe, seamless and stress-free experience.

  

Scheduling Installation

On average, the period between order confirmation and installation is around 4 weeks.  After your order confirmation, our team will contact you to provide an official installation date, ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated process.

We will schedule an installation date that works around your timeframe. We will provide a couple of possible installation dates and you can choose the date that works best for you.

    

On the Day of Installation

Our installation slots cover the entire day, as we service customers across the UK mainland. Our fitters will give you a call approximately one hour before their arrival. Due to the nature of travel and unforeseen variables such as traffic, we cannot provide exact ETAs and cannot be held liable for any delays.

It is crucial that the homeowner is present on the day of installation. We need to coordinate with you on the precise location of the sauna and provide a detailed demonstration on how to operate it.

If you are not available at the scheduled time, our fitters may have to void the installation, and a second installation attempt will be required. This may incur additional charges and could delay the installation by up to 4 weeks, depending on availability.

To ensure a smooth installation process, please plan to be available throughout the day and keep your phone handy for the fitter's call.

1. Delivery: We handle the safe and efficient delivery of your sauna to your chosen location, ensuring it arrives in perfect condition, ready for installation.
2. Full Erection of the Sauna: We will transport and position the sauna in your designated location, ensuring it is watertight and free from drafts. Our team also addresses all electrical requirements during this process to guarantee a safe and fully functional sauna experience.
3. Connection to Pre-Wired Rotary Isolator: If your sauna requires a dedicated electrical supply  and your electrician has pre-installed the necessary rotary isolator, we will handle the final connection, making the sauna ready for immediate use. 
4. Comprehensive Appliance Inspection: After installation, we perform a thorough inspection of all sauna appliances to ensure everything is working as intended. We provide a detailed demonstration of how the sauna operates, ensuring you are fully prepared to enjoy your sauna.
5. Duration: Depending on the model, our assembly and installation service typically takes between 2-4 hours per sauna.

      

Electrical

Electrical Guide for Your Sauna

Before embarking on your sauna installation journey, it's crucial to understand that this sauna model is not a 13amp plug and play unit. Instead, it requires a dedicated hardwired electrical supply. Please take note of this important distinction as you prepare for the electrical setup of your sauna. Power Supply

This sauna model requires a 9.5kW electrical supply to function optimally. This electrical setup must be hardwired, providing a dedicated power source for your sauna. This connection will be made into a rotary isolator, which is a crucial component in the electrical setup of your sauna.

The rotary isolator serves as a safety switch and allows you to control the power supply to your sauna. It's an essential part of creating a secure and efficient electrical system for your sauna experience.

For expert guidance on wiring the rotary isolator from your fuse board and connecting it to your sauna's power supply, we recommend consulting with your local qualified electrician. They have the knowledge and expertise to ensure a safe and reliable electrical setup for your sauna.

      

Rotary Isolator Placement

Position the rotary isolator ideally above the sauna for indoor installations. In indoor installations, the flying lead from the sauna is 2 meters long and originates from the top. Placing the isolator within two metres from the centre of the sauna’s desired location will ensure the cable length is suitable for connection.

     

Booking an Electrician

Due to high demand for electricians, it's advisable to book their services in advance. This proactive approach helps streamline the installation process.

     

Choosing Your Timing

Depending on your preference, electrical work can be completed either before or after the physical sauna installation. If scheduled before installation, our team can connect the sauna to the rotary isolator, assuming it has been fitted by the electrician. Alternatively, if electrical work is planned after installation, the electrician can handle the connection without requiring their presence during sauna installation. The electrician does not need to be present on the day of installation.

While not necessary, we highly recommend that electrical work be carried out BEFORE the sauna is installed. This approach simplifies the electrician's task and minimises disruptions during the installation process, ensuring a smoother overall experience. In most installations, pulling out the sauna to accommodate electrical wiring can be avoided with proper planning.

    

     

Qualified Electrical Installation

Your safety is paramount when it comes to enjoying your Home Living Luxury sauna to the fullest. If you do not have a rotary isolator installed on your property (as pictured above), you will need to have one installed. To guarantee a secure and efficient electrical setup, it's imperative to entrust this task to a qualified electrician who is well-versed in adhering to BS 7671 regulations. This guide outlines the essential knowledge to make your hot tub experience both enjoyable and secure.

   

• Qualified Electrician: All electrical connections for your new sauna must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The installation must conform to BS 7671 regulations to ensure your safety.
• Residual Current Device (RCD): Your sauna must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA. This additional safety measure helps protect against electric shock.
• Hardwired: The sauna requires a hardwired connection and the instructions above must be followed and understood by both yourself and your electrician.
• Rotary Isolator Requirements: Ideally, it should be as close to the sauna as possible, we strongly recommend within 2 meters.

Delivery without Installation

• UK Mainland: For UK mainland, installation is automatically included within the price of this sauna model.
• NI/ROI: We can ship all of our saunas to both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. Delivery usually takes around 5-10 days and the shipping fee is £200.00. We cannot install this sauna model in NI/ROI. This would be a delivery only service. Please contact us to discuss delivery.

     

Delivery with Installation

• Timeline: We are generally booked up for installation 4 weeks in advance. After your order is confirmed, our team will contact you to coordinate a suitable installation date. We will provide some options and we can coordinate with you to find a date that suits you and your schedule.
• Cost: Installation usually costs an additional £500 but we have included it within the price of this sauna model free of charge, due to the complicated nature of the assembly. This includes delivery, assembly, connection to a pre-installed rotary isolator (if applicable), and testing/ usage demonstration.

       

Installation Duration

The complete process, including assembly and setup and testing, takes between on average between 2-4 hours. Our skilled technicians will guide you through the operation of your sauna, ensuring you are comfortable with its use before leaving.

Returns

Return Timeframe

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 working days following the installation date. On the day of installation, you will be required to sign our installation document to confirm that you are satisfied with the installation and the condition of the sauna. This document serves as your acknowledgment that the sauna has been delivered and installed to your satisfaction.

   

Return Conditions

• Assessment of Condition: If you decide to request a refund within the 14-day period, we will need to conduct a thorough assessment of the sauna to determine whether it is in a resalable condition. Our team will arrange a visit to inspect the sauna. If the sauna is deemed to be in an unsatisfactory condition for resale due to misuse, damage, or other issues not covered under our warranty, we will be unable to accept the return.
• Collection Fee: There is a £500 call-out fee for us to return to your location and dismantle the sauna for collection. This fee covers transportation and labour costs associated with safely removing the sauna from your premises.

 

Faulty or Mis-described Goods

If the sauna is faulty or not as described upon installation, please do not sign the installation document. The purpose of this document is to acknowledge that the sauna has been delivered and installed to your satisfaction, and signing it confirms your acceptance of the quality and installation.

Instead, notify our fitters immediately of any issues. If the sauna is confirmed to be faulty or not as described, we will repair, replace, or collect the sauna at no additional cost to you. 

   

Cancelling Prior to Installation

If you wish to cancel your order before the installation date, please contact us via telephone and confirm the cancellation by email. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

 

Return Address

Please do not send returns to 207 Regent Street, (W1B 3HH) as this is not our warehouse address. The correct return address will be provided upon request. Any items sent to 207 Regent Street will not be accepted, and you will need to cover additional shipping costs to have the sauna redirected to our warehouse. For the correct return address, please contact us directly.
