For a seamless assembly of your ice bath, access to all four sides is essential. We recommend providing approximately 50mm (2 inches) of clearance around the ice bath to allow for assembly. However, more space is always appreciated.

In cases where the ice bath is placed tightly into a corner or specific location, the ice bath can be built slightly out of its final position and then manoeuvred it into place as needed.

  

Base

The ice bath's foundation is the bedrock upon which your chilly retreat will stand. To maintain the structural integrity and ensure proper functionality, it's imperative that we assemble it on a level and sturdy surface. We do not recommend assembling on an uneven floor or uneven ground, or generally unsuitable surfaces. Instead, we advocate for the ideal base, which includes options such as wooden floor, tiled floor, carpet, laminate, concrete and tarmac.

This ice bath is equipped with a square, metal base as shown below. This base serves a vital purpose by ensuring an even distribution of weight and stability.

  

  

To ensure proper weight distribution and stability, it is crucial that this full square is in contact with the ground.

   

Note:

We do NOT advocate situating your ice bath on a surface which is not suitable. If you opt for our installation services, our experienced fitters will not install the ice bath on an uneven base, as it can cause complications and compromise the ice bath's performance. This may result in the inconvenience of delaying your ice bath installation until a suitable base is located /prepared.

• Qualified Electrician: All electrical connections for your new sauna must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The installation must conform to BS 7671 regulations to ensure your safety.
• Residual Current Device (RCD): Your sauna must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA. This additional safety measure helps protect against electric shock.
• Plug n Play Option: The sauna is classified as 'Plug n Play' and can be connected via a standard 13A 3-pin socket outlet.
• Socket Outlet Requirements: The supply socket must not be a 'spur unit' due to increased resistance. Ideally, it should be as close to the sauna as possible, we strongly recommend within 3 meters. This must have a minimum protection rating of IP66. Your electrician will be able to provide concise information regarding this.
• Extension Leads: It is electrically unsafe to use an extension lead with a 'Plug n Play' sauna, as this is outside the design characteristics of the sauna.
