The "Grotto" is more than just eye-catching. Inside, the quirky design continues with sloping ceilings and curved walls, giving it a cosy yet spacious feel that defies expectations. In the centre, an additional row of shelving divides the pod, allowing for creative organisation—perhaps fiction on one side and non-fiction on the other, or custom sections to fit the needs of your community.

While this open design was originally crafted as a one-of-a-kind project for a client in Southern France, we recognise that weather conditions in other regions, such as the UK, may call for modifications.

For those seeking a cosier indoor feel, the pod can be customised with a front wall and door, protecting books and readers from the elements while preserving the Grotto Pod’s unique aesthetic.

Inside, the layout can be tailored with versatile options, including shelving on one side and comfortable benches or reading nooks on the other. For an added touch of convenience, there’s even space for a small coffee or tea station—creating the perfect blend of relaxation and focus.
