Care & Maintenance
How to Clean Cushions
Spills on outdoor fabric can be promptly addressed with soapy water. The fabric's high resistance ensures most stains can be effortlessly wiped away with a cloth or tissue. Should your set gather dirt or mildew during the winter months, rejuvenate it with a high-pressure washer and our dedicated cleaning kit.
Dealing with Stubborn Stains
For stubborn stains, concoct a mixture of:
150ml bleach
40ml mild soap
2 litres water
Drying:
Air dry the sofa after cleaning or rain exposure. Drying times vary based on weather conditions, humidity, and sunlight exposure.
Aluminium Frame Maintenance
During winter, aluminium frames may accumulate dust and dirt if left outdoors or stored improperly. Easily cleanse them with warm soapy water and a sponge, ensuring they dry within an hour.
Caring for Ceramic Tempered Glass
Outdoor glass is prone to dirt and mildew build-up from exposure to the elements. Cleanse it with a warm soapy cloth followed by a damp cloth for polishing, allowing it to air dry.
For glass table maintenance, explore our dedicated cleaning kits under Maze - Outdoor Garden Furniture - Glass Cleaner.
Fire Pit Care (if applicable):
- To ensure optimal performance from your fire pit over the years, adhere to these maintenance practices regularly:
- Keep exterior surfaces clean: Wait until the fire pit cools completely before cleaning.
- Use warm soapy water for cleaning; avoid flammable or corrosive agents.
- During cleaning, ensure the area around the burner remains dry.
- Avoid submerging the control valve in water; if submerged, replace it immediately.
- Inspect burners visually before use; ensure stones are dry before lighting.
- Look out for signs such as gas odour with yellow-tipped flames, insufficient heating, or popping noises.
- Keep the burner and air vents free from obstructions; clean burner holes with a pipe cleaner to prevent damage.
- Compressed air can aid in clearing smaller particles.
- Check the regulator's secure attachment and condition of the 85cm hoses provided with our fire pits.
- Disconnect the fire pit from the gas bottle when not in use.
- Always cover the heating element with a lid or protective cover when not in use.
- We recommend storing the glass surround safely when the table is not in use.
Note: Allow the fire pit to cool completely before storage or covering.
